The right place to do business

  • Development of derelict inner city area in partnership with Plymouth City Council and funding from ERDF, SRB and Plymouth Task Force.

  •  Simultaneously with the development of the Trust as an independent, democratic social enterprise the construction of the business park was completed in 1997

  • Wolseley Business Park houses 25 offices and light Industrial units ranging in size from 750sq. ft. to 1800sq. ft., together with a Community Cafe and Nursery.

  •  The Business Park is home to 15 tenants with at least 3 of those occupying more than one unit each. Wolseley Business Park has been home to 3 tenants that have been here since the site opened in 1997.

  •  Local schools and local residents were involved in the overall design and art work on the site

Facilities

  • The Business Park is centrally located just off Plymouth Parkway and on the A38. It has attractive art features including a Tin Man.
  • The site offers 24hr security, Visitors car parking, 2 adjacent supermarkets - Co-op and Lidl.
  • Easy in east out tenancy arrangements, Free Business Support and advice.
  • There is an onsite Community Cafe and a Nursery for children aged between 2 and 4½ offering very competitive rates and outstanding ofsted ratings.
  • All Units have Electricity, Water and Gas all are individually metered. All units have a 3 phase electric supply. Any modifications to electrical installations must seek prior approval from the Chief Executive to ensure compliance.
  • The site is equiped to allow access to BT and Virgin Media communications
  • Decoration - you can decorate or furnish the inside of the Unit to your requirements.
  • Noise generating processes including loading and unloading of vehicles will be prohibited between the hours of 8.00pm to 8.00am Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday except with the prior permission of the Chief Executive.  This will only be granted in exceptional circumstances.
  • A recycling service is provided by the Trust for waste paper and cardboard. Tenants must make their own arrangements for removal of trade waste.
  • Tenants car parking on site is restricted to 2 spaces per unit.
  • Industrial Units have Ambi Rad heating and Electric Heating in office pods.

At Wolseley Business Park we operate an ‘easy-in easy-out’ tenancy agreement which is designed to be flexible and uncomplicated. Free on site business advice and support is available to tenants from WCEDT staff and other partner agencies.

The over-riding priority for the W.C.E.D.T. is to create employment and business opportunities for people living in the Plymouth wards of Ham, Stoke, Keyham and Trelawney and to provide facilities which will benefit the local community.

The Wolseley Business Park provides all the usual facilites and services for out tenants. If you don't see something you need just ask as we will certainly try to help.
